So much stuff to say

God damn it!!!! WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH ALL THE BLOGS NOWADAYS!!! I mean, within the past month, at least 10 new blogs have sprouted out. ==, zzz, super lame laaaaaaa. BLOGS ARE GAY. Yep. They really are.

Anyway, so much stuff to talk about! Hrm, will split it up into 2 posts, 1 which will be posted today and the other tommorow I guess.

Neways, before I start ranting, I'll post some stuff thats been happening in my life. Went to the bazaar with Jason and Afiq, pretty darn good stuff there. Ikan bakar (drools, even Jason said it looked nice =) , nasi lemak, kebab's and other assorted Malay cooking. There's even lemang! I"M SO THERE TOMMOROW. Ookay, so the bubur sucked. Bleh, one small smudge in the record. Who cares, the other things rock. Specially the satay. And like, school's ok, a little dry nowadays as its mainly non stop lazing around. Still.

Theres this one thing I've been wanting to post for a long time, but was considering whether to post it or not. Obviously, I am, as well...here it is.

Races. This is going to be a touchy subject, so I'll tread carefully.

Malaysia's always been a multiracial country. We've got chin-chongs, ke ling guai and Malay dudes ( If any of you for a think this is going to be racist, thing again.) These are the derogatory words that's always been used to described the 3 main races in Malaysia (won't post the derogatory name for Malays, as it is WAY too offensive.) We hear of racial segregation in schools, done by the students, not the teachers as students tend to group with their own races. We've heard of students of different races fight cause of racial slurs between them.

But honestly, we're pretty darn together. Our current generation is one where racial harmony is implemented in the majority of us. Of course, there will be some uneducated racist bitches, but the majority of us are pretty darn willing to accept each other. Ya know what? ITS THE OLDER GENERATION THATS THE RACIST ONE. They tell us that we should get along with other races quite well. And yet, I'm sure most of us have heard our parents say stuff like "Sei ke ling chai" or "Sei Malay ***. Dunno how to drive ar???". I can say I'm pretty darn pissed at these kind of statements. And yet, I can't blame them for it. They grew up in a Malaysia where racial harmony was a distant concept to most of them, and they weren't really exposed to each other. So here's hoping that our current generation can start a new trend, and get along with each other. Who knows, maybe in the future, we can say "We're not Chinese/Malay/Indian/Punjabi/*insertyourownreplyhere*. We're Malaysians."

But there's something thats nagging me right now bout this. I've got friends from all different races, and I feel that they're pretty darn good friends to be around. Yet, I feel that we'll never truly reach that level of intimacy that I have with my Chinese friends. Maybe its because of our language barrier, maybe cause of our different upbringings, a thousand other maybes. But I feel that the people that I can truly connect to are those from my own race. I'm sorry, but this is how things are.

Walau. So long la this frikin post == Can never stop myself can I. Next post will be about acceptance from my family, but I doubt you guys want to read 2 long posts in a row.
